The PMC-GSA11-L is a gigabit PoE fiber media converter designed to convert 10/100/1000BASE-T copper to 1000BASE-X fiber optic while providing Power over Ethernet cable (PoE) to IEEE 802.3af PoE compliant devices such as IP surveillance cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and other network devices. This SFP PoE media converter acts as Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device to provide power to Powered Devices (PD) that comply with the IEEE 802.3af standard. The auto-sensing function can supply power to PD devices and stop supplying power once the PoE device disconnected.
The PoE media converter provides a perfect PoE solution to deliver data and power network devices saves you the cost and effort of buying, connecting, and installing extra power supplies and electrical cabling for each device.
This SFP PoE media converter provides an open Gigabit SFP slot, allowing you to choose the MSA-compliant pluggable optics that best meet your fiber connection needs. This SFP fiber media converter lets you choose a wide range of SFP transceivers that suit your singlemode or multimode cabling systems, such as 1G SFP transceiver, BiDi SFP transceiver, and CWDM SFP transceiver, and supports transmission distances up to 160 kilometers (99.4miles) depends on different SFP modules. The Gigabit SFP media converter offers a flexible and cost-effective way to extend the distance of an existing copper network, the life of non-fiber-based equipment, or the distance between two devices, allowing you to maximize the usage and performance of legacy equipment.
