Mikrotik CRS804 DDQ
Mikrotik CRS804-4DD-IN: High-Performance 400G QSFP-DD Switch
Upgrade your data network with the CRS804-4DD-IN, a compact 400 Gigabit switch engineered for AI workloads and high-capacity network backbones. Featuring four 400G QSFP-DD ports and dual 10G Ethernet uplinks, this 1U powerhouse delivers massive throughput without the massive footprint.
Key Technical Specifications:
-
Switching Power: Powered by the Marvell 98DX7335 chip for wire-speed performance.
-
Processing: Quad-core 2.0 GHz ARM CPU with 4GB DDR4 RAM.
-
Software: Pre-installed with RouterOS v7 for advanced L3 routing and traffic management.
-
Efficiency: Ultra-low power consumption (123W max) with dual hot-swap power supplies for 24/7 uptime.
Where does it fit
The CRS804-4DD-IN is the ideal high-bandwidth building block for small-to-medium AI installations. Additionally engineered to handle the intense data demands of machine learning (ML) and GPU nodes, therefore it ensures your storage traffic and compute clusters operate without bottlenecks.
Why Choose the CRS804 for AI Networking?
-
Non-Blocking Performance: Delivers full wire-speed switching and predictable, low-latency throughput essential for parallel processing and GPU synchronization.
-
Optimized for Research Labs: The compact 1U design and quiet operation make it a perfect fit for AI labs, academic research environments, and edge deployments where space is limited.
-
High Bandwidth, Low Overhead: Four 400G QSFP-DD ports provide the massive pipe needed for high-speed storage (NVMe-oF) and inter-node communication.
-
Eco-Friendly Efficiency: With a max power draw of only 123W, it offers a sustainable way to scale your AI infrastructure without massive cooling or power costs.
Future proofing for existing networks
The CRS804 DDQ can act as a high speed core aggregation switch even in older racks. Each 400G QSFP-DDport is built from eight independent data lanes. Therefore it enables flexible breakout options, including two 200G links for AI workloads or lower-speed connections such as 100G or 40G. Furthermore you can deploy the CRS804 DDQ in your existing networktoday and upgrade to higher speeds over time without replacing the switch. With the right breakout cables, theCRS804 DDQ can interconnect virtually any device with SFPor QSFP ports, regardless of generation.
All-flash storage fabrics
Use native 400G ports for fast storage up-links or split them into dual 200G links. Ideal for media production, scientific workloads, and any environment where rapid data movement is essential.
Compact 400G fabrics in limited rack space
Create a powerful spine or backbone fabric using four 400G ports. Perfect for small datacenters, enterprise pods, edge compute installations, and environments where traditional 400G equipment would be too loud, too large, or too expensive.
Also, we have included the RMK-2×10/19 accessory, so you can mount two CRS804 switches in a single 1U slot of a standard 19-inch rack.
