MC-10GSA11-L is a standalone 10G media converter that supports 10Gigabit Ethernet media conversion from 10GBase-T to the 10GBase-X fibre via an open SFP+ slot. This 10G Ethernet media converter is designed with a 10Gbase Ethernet PHY chip that smoothly connects two types of segments. This converter can be used as a standalone unit or as the slide-in module to the 19” converter rack Chassis for use at a central wiring closet.
Flexible and Reliable High-Speed Network Distance Extension Solution
This 10G Ethernet media converter is equipped with one RJ-45 auto-negotiation port and one open SFP+ slot. The RJ-45 port auto-negotiates with 10GBASE-T, 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, and 1000BASE-T. The open SFP+ slot supports a wide range of 10G SFP+ transceivers include 10GBASE-SR, 10GBASE-LR, 10GBASE-LRM, 10GBASE-ER, 10GBASE-ZR, 10GBASE-BX and 10GBASE-CWDM. It provides an ideal solution to extend the transmission distance of traditional 10G copper (RJ45) based network. You could achieve a max of 80 kilometers by choosing a 10GBASE-ZR SFP+ fiber module over Singlemode fiber. This 10G SFP+ fiber media converter is suitable for use in network environments where ultra-high bandwidth provided by 10G Ethernet is required.
